11" is perfect for the saddle sack large. Check the recent photo I posted in a thread titled "everyone should have at least one bosco bike". That bosco bike has a Brooks saddle and a Nitto R-14 rack with exactly 11" of clearance from rack to bag loops and there's a SaddleSack Large mounted there for you to view.
