Maybe I just don't get how capitalism works, but the way I understand it is if you make a commodity and supply is outpaced by demand then other suppliers enter the market and stimulate competition. You can either increase production and compete on volume or raise your prices and hope that your brand is stronger. Novel ideas are awatded patents. You can't whinge that somebody copied your idea that was a copy of sombody else's in the first place. If competition isn't youre thing get a patent or consider setting up shop in North Korea. I hear there's a brisk market for custom touring bikes there.
