As far as other Riv-ish companies, it would be hard to say. I just recently ordered the Wiggy sleeping bag and when I got the bill, Rivendell had given me a credit, even though I believe my membership had lapsed. I'd be hard put to think of a company that would do that. >From what I can tell they could have charged me full price, but in the end I basically paid shipping. They didn't have to do that. But it was a decent thing to do and they'll continue to have my custom.
