If you can handle a wait the Acorn medium and medium/large saddlebags are pretty great. Never had any issues with interference and they hold a surprising amount of gear.
And the price is good especially considering they are handmade in the US. The hard part is the getting one. Just need to get on the mailing list and be ready to pull the trigger when they say there is stock in the store. Fortunately larger saddlebags seem to be less desirable than other items.
