If they were a set of different Surly models with splitters being put
in, then mine was probably one of them.

I have heard that the Krampus and the ECR are much more nimble than
the fatbikes like the Pugsley. But if you want a bike for snow or
sand, you need to go with the wider four inch tires. When I test rode
the Krampus, I tried it in deep loose sand. Didn't work, though it was
fine on packed sand.
