The thing under the seat is a Thudbuster, a kind of mini-suspension.
It's a parallelogram with an elastomer insert that squishes just a
little.

You're right, Deacon. The bike rolls over all kinds of stuff.

The seat is narrow, but it seems to have support just under my
sitbones and not where I don't want anything. I'm liking it.

The bike took longer to be ready than was initially forecast, and I
was getting impatient. Then when they finally called that it was
ready, I wasn't sure I was happy. When I noticed I was jumping up and
down and grinning from ear to ear, I decided yeah, I was happy.
