Interesting. What's the controversy? This is the tire "rotation" that
is recommended by Sheldon Brown in his tire article. The only
downside is when you toss the worn rear tire, you have to remove the
front tire and put it on the rear wheel, and then put the new tire on
the front. Its more work, but it allows you to put the best tire in
front!
