For the most part I am quiet about bike tech that does not interest
me.  I would never want to ride a carbon bike nor would I pay for a Ti
bike.  I won't say anything mean about either.

Electronic shifting seems completely apart from what a bike is about
though.  Whether you ride to compete, tour, or get to work, seems to
me the point of a bike is that it is people powered.  If you are a
real wonk about precision, go ahead and get an STI or even an ergo.
But going to electronic shifting is getting real close to adding an
electric engine.  At some point, you leave biking behind and start
mopeding.
