UPS delivered mine today. a 1995 RBW (made at Waterford). Someone posted that the WI shop used heavy tubing and I was afraid that my Rivvie would feel more like a Batavius. I put it on a scale after opening the box, and the frame, fork, and Chris King head set all together scale at 5 1/4 lbs. Now, my thin wall, tig welded (and sold last year) 853 race bike had a 3.1 lb frame and a 1.1 lb carbon fork, and omitting a headset that was 4.2 lbs. So, for a one pound weight advantage, it seems to me that I get way more bike frame. I'm good with that. I was surprised in fact with how light the frameset was when I lifted it out.
Tonight I just measured the frame (easy to do when nothing is on it) and tried it out for general fit using parts in the garage. Some pics are at my Flickr page (fullylugged) It will be a 650B conversion build. That size is what you see in the pictures. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3498/3273676064_d01f174628_b.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3514/3273677306_4535636735_b.jpg I've got some parts to use, still looking for others. Looking forward to some fun too! --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
