My daughter lives in Indy & reports it's not too bike friendly. The people
are great but the roads are narrow, shoulderless & no bike lanes.

Hodson's Bay Company in West Lafayette http://www.hodsonsbay.com/links.html
has links to local organizations. They also stock a great book entitled
"Back Roads of Indiana" by Charlie Myer. It's got highly detailed maps by
county with routes listed & a key map of the state so you can stitch
together routes that cover more than one county. The more interesting
cycling is in the southern part of the state.

I'm considering whether to attend NAHBS 2009 in Indianapolis. Rumor
has it that Indy isn't much of a cycling town. Anybody have experience
cycling there? Any recommended rides? Obviously, it's not an optimal
time of the year, but I can enjoy cycling in fairly inclement weather.
