My daughter lives in Indy & reports it's not too bike friendly. The people are great but the roads are narrow, shoulderless & no bike lanes.
Hodson's Bay Company in West Lafayette http://www.hodsonsbay.com/links.html has links to local organizations. They also stock a great book entitled "Back Roads of Indiana" by Charlie Myer. It's got highly detailed maps by county with routes listed & a key map of the state so you can stitch together routes that cover more than one county. The more interesting cycling is in the southern part of the state. dougP -----Original Message----- From: rbw-owners-bunch@googlegroups.com [mailto:rbw-owners-bu...@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Jim Thill - Hiawatha Cyclery Sent: Monday, December 22, 2008 8:08 AM To: RBW Owners Bunch Subject: [RBW] NAHBS Indianapolis I'm considering whether to attend NAHBS 2009 in Indianapolis. Rumor has it that Indy isn't much of a cycling town. Anybody have experience cycling there? Any recommended rides? Obviously, it's not an optimal time of the year, but I can enjoy cycling in fairly inclement weather. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
