I've had these on my 650B Ebisu since last January, and like 'em a lot.  I
found the adjustment to be easy and stable.  Stopping power is good--more
than adequate--but not as good as the low profile Shimanos (can't recall the
model) on my old Stumpjumper.  From reading Sheldon on the subject, I think
lowering the straddle might improve things, but then fender clearance
becomes an issue in my setup.  I did immediately upgrade to Kool Stop salmon
pads.  All in all, I like the performance, and love the look.
