Battery operated tail lights are so simple and run for so long on a set of batteries, I find it hard to justify running a wire back there. Headlights are a different matter....
I like the very bright Planet Bike Superflash http://ecom1.planetbike.com/3034.html Planet Bike sells mounting hardware for $5 http://ecom1.planetbike.com/3108.html Ziptie it on (ziptie the mounting hardware to the rack and the light to the mounting hardware) to help keep interested folks honest. Others have complained that the lens has popped off. A small piece of clear tape prevents that too.
