I don't think changing the menu labels is a good idea. We don't have "Exit User
Diaries" when you are on that part of the site, for example.
Having a link to the front page (in addition to clicking the first menu item)
has been asked for elsewhere, but that's not specific to the editing page.
I'd certainly consider having an active status for the edit menu button. I
don't remember if we had that previously for the other buttons.
