(I'm an experienced enough web developer to know that I shouldn't talk
about web development unless I'm willing to get torn apart and eaten alive
by the rest of the industry. It's a wild world.)
But if someone has more than one year of web development with Racket under

I wouldn't worry about being eaten by the wolves. Sure, it's not even close to a mainstream language, so the numbers aren't in our favor ("how many top tech companies are running on Racket"). If you want to hear about what's new in web programming in PHP or node, I don't know why you'd go to a talk on web devel in Racket. The Racket web toolchain is a bit underdeveloped in places, admittedly. But the basics are really solid. Jay and all the others who've contributed to the web part of Racket have done a fantastic job. It certainly my weapon of choice on the web.
