I have had experiences with people too daunted by a programming language where all kinds of small mistakes just generate an error. They often just want to do a few things and do not want to learn programming in depth.
They want the kind of GUI interface that was often made for people coming from something like the Social sciences with lots of options to choose from. But what is nice about some of the attempts to make a GUI for limited uses, is that it can also spit out the R code it uses so it can be copied and edited carefully and perhaps even improved. As an example, on a large dataset, where you will be removing relatively few rows and most of the columns, the order of operations may matter and if the GUI filters the rows first on a thousand columns and then drops all but three columns, perhaps the opposite order can be done with a little cut and paste and mild editing. I will note there are now people using various "AI" chatbots to do programming without a GUI. You can actually describe what you want carefully in plain English (albeit other languages should also be possible) and get a result which does something. I have been asked to look at such code to see if it is doing what was wanted, though, so you still might want some understanding of the generated R code.
