Hi,

I am new to qpsmtpd and am interested in trying it out as an anti-spam proxy.

I have tried to install it on a Ubuntu 8.0.4 server but i can't configure it.

perl MakeFile.pl works and so does make and make install.

However, when I run sudo /usr/local/bin/qpsmtpd-prefork --user qpsmtpd --detach
, it will never look for the config files in /home/qpsmtpd.

As I am running the sudo command under an account by the name of john, it seems
to search for it in /home/john.

I am only suspecting this as it complains it can't find a folder called
/home/john/tmp.

Strangely enough when I create a folder called config in /home/john and place a
file called smtpgreeting in it, it still does not work.

The installation instructions on the website does not seem to help.

I am using qpsmtpd 0.82.

Please help.

Thank you.

John
