That's your prerogative, but don't think for a second I believe my mails aren't important to me - but if they're not important to you I'm happy for you to reject them based on this test.
I just had to protect my mail server and my sanity, and rejecting MAIL FROM <> was the most effective way to do it. I tried a BATV-like scheme but it didn't work all that well for me (can't recall the exact details for why, but there are a number of systems that key off MAIL FROM that you have to whitelist around for BATV).
