Here's what's happening in more detail.
I have a bank of web servers. Each one is supposed to use one of the QMT
machines to send outgoing mail. We'll call that one QMT-1.
Then I have accounts on another internal QMT machines that we'll call QMT-2.
The web server tries to use QMT-1 to send it's out going mail to an account on
QMT-2. However, the web server gets a;
DSN: Service Unavailable
message and fails.
On QMT-1, I don't see any errors but on QMT-2, I see;
07-11-06 06:53:09.281847500 CHKUSER rejected sender: from
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]::> remote <compdev.domain.com:unknown:192.168.1.58>
rcpt <> : invalid sender MX domain
So, the receiver QMT machine (QMT-2) does not seem to have any issues with
QMT-1 sending but it has an issue with the web server sending through QMT-1?
How do I resolve this without having to create a lot of records for a number
of web and other internal servers which need to relay both internally and to
the world? Outgoing to the world seems fine (other than Yahoo) but this is the
problem internally.
