Hello, I'd like to know if it is possible to check if the recipient is valid (for local domains) and after that to check the message for spam and viruses. The server receives 95% spam to non-existing mail addresses for my domain. The server is P4 Xeon 5130 2x2Ghz. It succeeded to scan around 22000 spam per hour, but I have the problem described in the FAQ with the slow SMTP server. If that check is possible I think that the load average will fall 20-30 times.
