I am now wondering whether it is the version of Sophos we are using - either the library did not run under our environment (damn precompiled software), or the function the configure script is trying to test is not in the new library (or is different)? Could this be a factor? I am very tempted to go back to Clamav, but we were trying to standardise over one antivirus product. Thanks.
