I have 2 (very different) servers with QS1.25 (st patch) and SA3.1.0 ,
so I think its safe to say that its not a version issue.
did it work with older versions of SA?
check the qmail-scanner log ( /var/spool/qmailscan/qmail-queue.log )
for error messages.
if no obviuos errors show up, look for lines with SA: and follow the
exection log for spamc.
if you see lines like "SA: finished scan of dir ... in 0.146912 secs -
hits=17.0/5.0"
than SA is you're fine.
if QS cannot interact with SA you will see something like:
"SA: finished scan of dir ... in 0.146912 secs - hits=?/?"
this could be because the message is very big.
if it happens all the time than it indicates a problem.

Hi all,
I can't get qmail-scanner 1.25 to work with a daemonized version of
spamd (spamassassin 3.1.0).
I have no problem getting qmail-scanner to work with my virus scanner,
but I'm not seeing any SA spam headers appear in my GTUBE test mails or
even in the qmail-scanner built in tests.
I've tried playing around with RELAYCLIENT, but no dice.
Has anyone got qmail-scanner to work with the latest spamassassin 3.1.0?
There's no reason it shouldn't I feel.
I've tried running spamd with several kinds of start options, and I've
checked my spamd debug logs and can't see any problems there. Spamd
starts up ok. IIRC, qmail-scanner uses spamc to lob mails at spamd, so I
don't think the interface has changed.....(or has it) . How can I test
for sure to see if qmail-scanner is "seeing" spamd at all?
