(this is known as a "dictionary attack" BTW)
"ignorant mail-admins" just about defines every standard Qmail install
out there. That's exactly what Qmail does (and Exchange BTW).
I agree that things like the goodrcptto patch can reduce this problem -
but let's not forget who is really to blame here...
Is there a patch to qmail that I can use to prevent bounces from
something that's been tagged as spam? I've taken a few cracks at this
as time allows... since as the "ignorant mail-admins" I also get all the
double-bounces. The goodrcptto patch will be applied this week.
