Hello. i have a strange problem: I have 1 server with qmail qmail-scanner1.24 uvscan. I use a script for update uvscan. i make a backup of the system with tar every night.
all function good for a lot of time. in this moment i have a problem: when i launch backup with tar, when the tar is backupping /usr or /var the uvscan not always, but with a good frequency, stop to working because is DAT files are broken. the dat files is good first the backup, but after the DAT are broken and qmail-scanner send my qq temporary problem. I need to know if in the qmail-scanner process to use uvscan there is a file-block, or other procedures that block files or if there is a directory to exlude from the backup to preserve. I have allready exlude /usr, but in the last week the problem is gone back again. The last change i have make is the update from 2.4.23 to 2.4.29 Kernel. Any suggestion ??
