is there a way to use qmail-scanner to allow certain attachments, but rename them?
also how about the ability to override the renaming by using a particular subject line?

No. Qmail-Scanner has never altered the content of emails. If it's viral or contains attachments you block by policy - then they are blocked - quarantined,

well, that stinks. right now we use a perl script that will rename attachments to have a .txt extension, and if you start your subject line with a certain phrase, it doesn't touch it. the problem with this is that the scanner it's using now is kinda in-efficient. i was hoping that somebody created an addon or a hack to qmail-scanner that performed basically the same functions.
