This is something that is most likely very well documented somewhere
and became obvious once I put my finger on it but in case someone goes
to the same place, this will at least be in the archives:


If you change clamd to run in the foreground (e.g. putting "Foreground"
in /usr/local/etc/clamd.conf) to run under daemontools, DO NOT forget
to remove the clamd startup script from your System-V startup scripts!


I came *this* close to wiping the system and starting over because it
would hang on boot and never even allow console login.


Nothing in rc2.d that loads after clamd will get loaded, including
rmnologin, etc.
