Qmail-Scanner never alters the body of the message, so no - it can't do
exactly what you say there.

However, you can configure it to notify the recipient that a message has
been blocked  using the "--notify recips" option. 

However (again!) I think what you need is a new option - "--notify precips"
- i.e. only notify local recipients when a message to them is blocked for
POLICY reasons. That way they don't get nagged about all the viruses been
sent to them, but they do get told when a message was blocked because it was
a "*.XZQ" file - or whatever.

I can't see any harm with that as an idea, in fact it seems like an
oversight of mine, so I'll add that to the next release :-)
