Strangely I did compile maildrop from sources .. but the ones distributed with qmailtoaster. I'll have to check what their modifications have done and if it's being used anywhere.

So I bet that's why there are so many people having problems. Maybe it should get added to the faq?

Can you think of any reason why reformime would be installed setuid root?

I bet you're running that BROKEN install of maildrop that installs reformime
setuid root!

PLEASE, get rid of it and get a real copy of maildrop from the source!
Someone has done a very bad thing there!!!

[or you could just "chmod 0755 /usr/bin/reformime" ]
