Also, the problem only exists with qmail-smtpd, not qmail-pop3d > or qmail-send. You only need to look at the smtpd logs. Well, clearing up that permissions problem eliminated the error from rm, however, it leaves this error in the logs: Dec 2 19:18:01 pop smtpd: 1070421481.583526 tcpserver: ok 27972 pop.lightspeed.ca:206.12.82.99:25 mailer3.idealofferhouse.com:66.63.161.30::2579 Dec 2 19:18:01 pop smtpd: 1070421481.727629 X-Qmail-Scanner-1.16:[pop.lightspeed.ca107042148142627975] pop.lightspeed.ca107042148142627975 exits - try again later... Dec 2 19:18:01 pop smtpd: 1070421481.763303 tcpserver: end 27972 status 0 Dec 2 19:18:01 pop smtpd: 1070421481.763605 tcpserver: status: 3/80 I assume that they mean "<filename> exists" not "<filename> exits". pop.lightspeed.ca107042148142627975 looks to be a a proper maildir-formatted filename, probably being stored in /var/spool/qmailscan/working/new, and Q-S seems to be complaining that the file already exists, although the /var/spool/qmailscan/working/* directories are all empty. For what it's worth, if I turn on Q-S, and repeatedly try to list the contents of /var/spool/qmailscan/working/new while it's working, I see nothing. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by OSDN's Audience Survey.
