The odd thing is that this was working before. But let's not get into that.
To make a long story short, I followed the instructions for installing qmail-scanner, word-for-word, as described in 'The Qmail Handbook'. I've overcome problems with permissions in the /var/spool/qmailscan files, problems with running qmail-scanner-queue.pl, and compiled and installed the included wrapper to work around the problem. But now what happens when I set QMAILQUEUE=/var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue and restart qmail-send by running `svc -t /service/qmail-smtpd`, smtp simply stops working with this error: 451 qq temporary problem (#4.3.0) Nothing gets logged to /var/spool/qmailscan/qmail-queue.log, and oddly enough the maillog doesn't report any mail being rejected, despite the fact that it is. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by OSDN's Audience Survey.
