Hi Arno:

We did an install using Bill Shupp's toaster. The /var/log/qmail/smtpd logs have no entries from tcpserver - they actually have almost no entries other than some scanner error messages. Could logging from tcpserver be somewhere else?

In your qmail-smtpd logging (which you'll find in /var/log/qmail/smtpd if
you've done an LWQ install) look for lines like:

@400000003f964a491704efcc tcpserver: status: 15/20

in which the 15/20 shows how many (15) of the allowed incomming (20) are
used.
If you're loooking to find out wheter the RAM/SWAP is fully used or not then
the qmail logging can't help you. You'd probably be better out with a tool
like MRTG to create graphs of your mem/swap usage to get a feel for the
memory consumption of your machine.

Arno
