Read the documentation perhaps? The CHANGES file explicitly says: "edit (to make run as qscand) and restart any daemonized AVs" ...and the FAQ says: "What do I need to know to run daemonized versions of antivirus scanners.... ...it needs to run as "qscand". " All AV systems scan the temp directory under /var/spool/qmailscan where the email is unpacked. As its perms are "700", obviously the AV systems will have to run as the same usercode in order to be able to read them. I realise such a major change will catch some people out, but it does mean a more secure system - which I always like to see :-) -- Cheers Jason Haar Information Security Manager, Trimble Navigation Ltd.
