I think you mis-understood my problem. You immeadiately go into a "don't point fingers argument". That is NOT what I was driving at. I was not flaming anyone. I was merely asking how users have configured a pass through filter. I did state that for local users I am filtering mail just fine utilizing procmail. I was in no way "blaming" qmail-scanner. I had thought that a mailing list might encourage people to exchange ideas on how to utilize a particular product. Perhaps if someone has any ideas on how to solve this issue and not to simply state "not our problem" I would be glad to listen.

What options do I Not Qmail-Scanner's problem: read the FAQ "Messages marked as spam are not quarantined" i.e. it's the users job - not the system. This is a philosophical issue I am yet to be swayed on. If any of you out there are subscribed to the SpamAssassin development list, you will know about the people who flame that list demanding to know why their email is being filtered without their authority. In all cases it's due to their ISP doing just what you want: pre-filtering what they *think* is SPAM - without letting their own customers/whatever know. Qmail-Scanner does a good job of marking the messages as spam - write a document telling users how to filter that off using their MUAs - and you won't have unhappy users...
