Hi,

I need to get the IP address a mail was sent from ($tcpremoteip or
something, I found that out) and then execute a script with this IP as a
parameter (which finds out the switch port this IP is connected to and
blocks it: our penalty for distributing viruses. don't pass Go, don't
collect ¤500).

However, due to the suid nature of qmail-scanner-queue I keep getting
errors passing the IP variable to my script, I tried system() and
backticks.

How would I best do this? Better yet, how would I best do this so that I
can upgrade to new qmail-scanner versions relatively easily?

Thank you!
