"all messages on his end seem to be screwed" Fix that first. Nothing else matters. Email should NEVER be screwed. You guys did read the section in the Qmail-Scanner docs about SpamAssassin that says: "Finally, never forget the "-F 0" option. Without it, you will CORRUPT EVERY SINGLE MESSAGE."
