I have checked out your patch - and it's completely wrong!!! You have installed qmail-scanner-queue as a setuid *root* executable!! This could be a MAJOR SECURITY HOLE!!! Of course, it has probably fixed all your problems - which would have been permission problems - as now you have Q-S running as root instead of as qmailq.
