Hi,
I am trying to make run the cirrusfb driver which
supposely support the GD5446 graphic adapter. Unfortunatly when the frame buffer start up the
screen is infinitly black. I try to upgrade the vgabios to 0.5c build the 7th of
July 2005 and the Bochs BIOS to Revision 1.130 dated of 2005/02/13 but same
thing. I am currently using Qemu 0.7.2 release.
I would like to make work this as I am working on a bootsplash patch which
require at least 16 bits colors support at really early stage of the kernel
bootup sequence. QEMU has always been my "debugger" for kernel stuff and I am a
little bit stuck there. So before trying to fix this issue by myself I would
like to know if some people had been successfull to make work such
frame buffer driver for the console and get your feedbacks.
