I was already working on this, my workflow was bite a bit from git migration. Maybe you noted that in the repository we have already requests 2.8.1, I had to do the final checks and it will updated. I'm working on this right now. I will start to use ratt[¹] from the future to keep requests always in the best shape and not brake anything (or at least catch all breaking early). Thanks!
