Take a look at pythoncard , we use it to produce database frontends , but apparently it also can be used for simple graphics apps and others. However if you are used to things like the Delphi IDE to build a gui app , then prepare to shed lots of tears before overcoming the initial disbelieve, that there is nothing better available for python.
