I recommend that you choose the license that will best achieve your long run goals for the code. As I understand them, and as I understand your application and software development, this implies something like the MIT license: http://www.opensource.org/licenses/mit-license.php I believe that the MIT license maximizes the likelihood that a small scale application will receive useful patches, as long as you actively incorporate patches.
