In the context of recent Flash-related discussions and the usage of open Web standards, I searched for 'animation SVG "solar system"' and discovered this example: http://www.svgelves.com/svg/L_chrisa_02.svg Sadly, it only works in Opera amongst the browsers I have. Konqueror displays the initial frame but doesn't animate the scene, although later versions of that browser might support animation. I have an old version of Firefox which doesn't support SVG at all.
