Needs a Mailman expert to confirm, but this page does seem to imply
that you can use Python 3.6+ (preferably 3.7+) for everything:
I know drifting well off topic, but I'm involved with some projects that
get free mailman hosting from a generous provider, which however has
expressed no interest at all (rather, a specific "we will not") in
upgrading from mm2. Sigh.
