Just to clarify: Off-topic means discussing stuff that isn't about Python; off-list means sending private emails, not to python-list@python.org / comp.lang.python. You're uncertain as to whether you're off-topic or not, but you're definitely on-list; and my previous mail to you was off-list, so people here are going to be a little confused, as they lack context.
