As I have said several times - the one for the POWER6 bot appears
"frequently" when using xlc rather than gcc. But that could just as well
be related to RAM size. I had to increase RAM in order to get anything
to build.

I spent many man-weeks over a year ago on that technical issue, but
under a different issue number. I do not understand compilers well
enough to solve it.

The issue for the PPC64 bot - you closed about a month ago.

My point is: in the last 36 hours I have gotten over 70 mails from the
buildbot system - but nothing for AIX.

I am trying to follow AIX - but with no notifications it takes days extra.

Why is AIX singled out because of a single issue - to not get
notifications? Aren't there many "issues" for other stable and
especially so-called unstable bots - yet they do not get switched off?

In any case - neither of these two issues are causing a flip-flop of
status mails, and continuing with this policy of leaving AIX switched
off defeats the whole purpose of having worked for over a year to get
through process of getting the tests to pass and run a bot - so that
timely notification is sent when something does not go as expected.

Please switch them back on.

Sincerely,

Michael
