Ned Deily <n...@acm.org> added the comment: The crash dump confirms that the buggy Apple Tcl/Tk 8.5 frameworks are being used (/System/Library/Frameworks/Tk.framework/Versions/8.5/Tk). As I mentioned, the easiest solution is to install the most recent ActiveState Tcl/Tk 8.5. The python.org Python 2.7.3 will automatically use it if it is available at run time.
