Claire, PyMOL really requires a three-button mouse. You should be able to find a 3-button/wheel mouse, where the wheel acts like a middle button, for $30-50 (U.S.D.) Microsoft and Logitech are the two reliable manufacturers. A microsoft USB intellimouse works great with a Mac.
