The gui actually works quite nicely, once the OSD is added by hand with pveceph createosd. You can in/out and stop/start the osd as you do with all other osd. A ZVol emulates a block device in a way similar to what iscsi or lvm does. 2014-04-18 8:28 GMT+02:00 Alexandre DERUMIER <aderum...@odiso.com>: > Please note that ceph/intank don't support zfs currently. > http://wiki.ceph.com/Planning/Blueprints/Emperor/osd%3A_ceph_on_zfs > > So, it could be buggy, be carefull. Yes, there is more space for using zfs capabilities in ceph, for example for snapshotting. The wiki actually encourages me to test zfs more deeply. I interpret it in a positive way: The ceph developers are aware of ZFS and they recognize that there could be some usefulness in using it under ceph. >From the tests I did in the last few days using emperor, it turns out that ZFS actually works under ceph. However ceph is very taxing on iops then it comes to tasks like healing the PGs after a failure. _______________________________________________ pve-devel mailing list pve-devel@pve.proxmox.com http://pve.proxmox.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pve-devel
