How does it work exactly ? 
I see that it's related to vmware vmmouse. Does it use usb or ps2 devices ? do 
we need to plug a special device ?

I would like to get it work on windows. (as my linux guests are console only)

Well, seems to be enabled by default. An ubuntu 12.04 guest with X11 works 
perfectly
