I must be misunderstanding inheritance in Ruby, since I overrode the network() method but am still getting a cert validation error. -- And I attempted to add a bunch of logging which I don't see, so obviously I'm doing something wrong :) If I can get a full working hack, I'd be happy to post a diff.
