That error indicates that the root password you provided for mysql is not correct. If mysql is already installed on the machine the installer needs that information to create databases and database users for the console.
One solution would be to find and provide the correct mysql root password. Another solution, if mysql isn't in use on the server and you don't need the data, would be to remove the mysql packages and /var/lib/mysql and let the PE installer handle installing the mysql package for you.
