I don’t know what OS you’re on, but under RHEL5, I just installed this like any other package. Literally copied and pasted from my manifests: # Sun Java $sun_java = [ "java-1.6.0-sun”, "java-1.6.0-sun-devel", ] package { $sun_java: ensure => installed, } The problem is that those packages are in the “RHEL Supplementary” channel, so Puppet can’t install them unless the system is subscribed to that channel first (and I don’t know of a way to subscribe it automatically using Puppet). I only have 2 servers like this, so I haven’t really dug in to find a better solution. -- Rob McBroom <http://www.skurfer.com/> If you need something, that doesn't mean someone else owes it to you. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group.
